K.D. Woolliscroft  is a Welsh contemporary artist whose practice centres around automatic drawing and psychological expressionism. Guided by intuition rather than preconception, his predominantly monochrome works explore memory, anxiety and the complexities of the human condition.

 

Working without a predetermined outcome, each piece emerges through instinctive mark-making, allowing the subconscious to shape the image. Distorted figures, symbolic forms and fragments of thought become visual records of emotions that are often difficult to express through words alone.

 

Influenced by surrealism and expressionism, his work seeks to reveal the hidden language of the mind and preserve moments of vulnerability, curiosity and introspection.
